Our Girls’ Getaway to St. Petersburg, Florida
Last month, I snuck away with two of my best girlfriends, Chiara and Ally, for a much-needed girls’ weekend in sunny St. Petersburg, Florida. We made the iconic Don CeSar Hotel our home base for three days. Known as the “Pink Palace,” the hotel’s pink exterior set the tone for a weekend full of laughs, memories, and of course, plenty of style and PINK.
Our days were blissfully simple: sleeping in (because that’s what vacations are for), sipping lots of coffee, wandering through local shops, savoring incredible meals, and toasting with delicious cocktails. Every moment felt like a celebration, especially since we couldn’t stop styling our looks with pieces from Traci’s Beads. Coordinating our jewelry and outfits made each outing—and each photo—extra special.
Naturally, the pink hotel sparked inspiration for some new designs. Two new necklaces, the Sunset Social and the Gulfstream, were designed for this trip, each carrying a little piece of St. Pete’s charm. I even treated myself to a new treasure—a gorgeous aquamarine ring by Dean Davidson, discovered in the hotel’s gift shop—to remember the trip by.
More than anything, this weekend reminded me how special it is to carve out time with your girlfriends. The laughter, the memories, the shared love of jewelry and style—it all came together in the most perfect way. St. Petersburg gave us sunshine, inspiration, and a chance to simply be together, and I’ll be carrying that joy with me for a long time.
A few of our favorites and recommendations:
- Boat charter with Galeon Sky Boat Charter. We enjoyed a sunset cruise around St Petersburg and it was the perfect night! The crew took great care of us and made the experience so enjoyable! We connected our playlist to the speakers and listened to our favorite songs while sipping wine and taking in the sunset!
- Breakfast - The Library Restaurant didn't disappoint! The interior made you feel as if you are at the most charming library with bookcases of books and classy wing chairs. Definitely try the steak burrito, so good!
- Shopping - We enjoying strolling through many boutiques. Our favs include Pink Soleil for all the girly vibes including Lilly Pulitzer. Coastal Soul for fun decor, jewelry and fashion. And the Bronze Lady Boutique, so many pretty treasures to look through including lots of jewelry and Spartina accessories.
- Afternoon coffee and sweets - The coffee bar at The Vinoy hotel was incredibly charming! So many delicious sweet treats, we opted for a lemon tart with a cappuccino.
- Dinner - Our favorite dinner was at FORTU. Although we were a few minutes late for our reservation and had to sit outside, we made the best of it and the meal was amazing! We enjoyed martini's and scallops, and dumplings. All delicous!
